Tulsi Hydrosol has been used for centuries and is cherished for its protective and uplifting nature. Tulsi, is thought to embody a purifying radiance that refines body, mind and spirit. Used extensively in India and within Ayurvedic practices, Holy Basil is grown and distilled for aromatic, medicinal and spiritual purposes. Warm, soothing and slightly spicy, this hydrosol is wonderful to spray on the face or body. Also suitable for cosmetic use.
Hydrosols are also called Floral Water and this name pretty much explains it. Hydrosols are very similar to essential oils but they aren’t as concentrated as the essential oils. Hydrosols are typically steam distilled and often a by-product of the process of extracting essential oils. Hydrosols or Floral waters are my favorite mists. They come in so many different scents and have so many uses. Hydrosols or Floral waters can deliver all the benefits of an essential oils to the skin. They are gentle yet effective and are wonderful additions to toners and many other DIY beauty and hair care products at reasonable cost.
